The 1997 NBA All-Star Game was the 47th edition of the All-Star Game and commemorated the 50th anniversary of the NBA. The game was played on February 9, 1997, at Gund Arena (now known as Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse) in Cleveland. Laettner, playing for the Atlanta Hawks then, was selected to his first and only All-Star game. The halftime show featured a ceremony honoring the 50 Greatest Players in NBA History. Laettner played 24 minutes with 7 pts, 11 rebs, 2 ast, one stl, and one blk during the 1997 All-Star Game.

Presented here from that historical night is Christian Laettner’s 1997 NBA All-Star Game Ring with its original All-Star Weekend Box. Featuring a beautiful blue stone top with an image of a basketball in the center. Above the bezel setting is “NBA” with “ALL-STAR” reading below. One shank of the ring displays an enamel-filled National Basketball Association logo with Laettner’s name at the top. The opposite shank shows that year’s NBA All-Star Weekend logo, reading “FEBRUARY 7-9, Gund Arena”. Marked inside the band of this approximate size 13 ring is “CEL LGB” for the manufacturer Balfour and celestrium ring type. The weight of this ring is approximately 17.2 grams. This item comes directly from Laettner with a signed LOA.
