Cal played his entire career for the Baltimore Orioles from 1981 to 2001 at shortstop and third base. A 19-time MLB All-Star Cal is considered one of the best shortstops to ever play the game. At 6' 4" Cal pioneered the way for taller and larger shortstops. Ripken is best known as baseball's "Iron Man" playing in a record 2632 straight games spanning sixteen seasons. This Orioles alternate jersey was worn by Cal during the 1993 season. Tagging includes the Russell Athletic (size 48) tag on the front tail along with the year/set designation tag noting "93-3". On the left sleeve is the 1993 All-Star Game patch in recognition of the summer classic being held in Cal?s own home ballpark Baltimore's Oriole Park at Camden Yards. The pullover style jersey shows light use. LOA from MEARS (Grade A4).
