This Willie Mays signed government postcard was inscribed by the "Say Hey Kid" at the dawn of his Hall of Fame career. The steel-tip fountain pen script is preceded by the scarce inscription “New York Giants” penned in Mays' hand. The GPC is quite clean and free from the standard postmark cancellation marks. The distinctive early career signature style precisely matches similar items we've handled definitively dated to Mays 1951 rookie season. Authenticated and encapsulated by SGC/JSA.
