The late, great Tony Gwynn was arguably the best pure hitter in baseball history. With eight National League batting titles to his credit and a career .338 average, Gwynn was an easy first-ballot Hall of Fame inductee into Cooperstown in 2007. In 20 different MLB seasons, he never struck out more than 40 times in any one campaign. He was also a perennial All-Star Game selection and started in 15 Mid-Summer Classics.

Featured here is one of the bats "Mr. Padre" swung early in his career as he was making a name for himself. The Louisville Slugger Tony Gwynn professional model B267 bat exhibits evidence of light use and is un-cracked. Gwynn's player number (19) is written on the knob and top of the barrel in black marker. Includes ungraded LOA from John Taube of PSA/DNA.
