The idea for the song "I Love Mickey" came into being one day when Teresa Brewer was at a Yankee game in the mid-1950’s watching Mickey in action. While leaving the stadium Teresa commented to her friend "That Mantle is terrific! Someone should write a song about him". Teresa started singing and her friend chimed in and they had a few bars written. They presented the song to Mickey, and Mantle said "Great", and recorded the song with Teresa. On September 29, 1956 "I Love Mickey" peaked at #87 on the charts. This is the "I Love Mickey" 45 RPM record, and original sheet music. The record is in excellent condition with the original sleeve. The sheet music is also about EX.
