Wilt Chamberlain is arguably the best basketball player and greatest physical specimen that the NBA has ever seen. With his 7’1” stature during his playing career from 1959-1973, he was often the tallest player on the court, able to dominate any opponents that got in his way. The list of accolades and records go on-and-on anywhere from his unbeatable 100-point game to averaging 50.4 PPG for an entire season. Chamberlain was a one-of-a-kind player in the NBA and we won’t be seeing anyone as dominant as he was in the near future.

Offered here is a fresh to the market and extremely rare circa 1953-55 original photo of Wilt Chamberlain during his high school days at Overbrook High School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This photo shows his immense rebounding effort as an Overbrook Panther in what appears to be a putback attempt. The photo titled, “Going for the Putback” shows Wilt with his elbows at the rim as he grabs the ball. The photo puts in perspective how tall he was in high school as he is barely off the ground and his hands are easily above the rim. This original photo has been preserved in excellent condition showing little to no wear. Encapsulated by PSA/DNA as Type 1 Authentic (Certification #: 84178444).
