Presented here is a vintage baseball signed by two pairs of Hall of Fame teammates who built quite a rivalry during the 1920s and '30s. The two names that evoke the most reverence when mentioned in Yankees history, Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig, share the west panel on the ball in equally impressive 7-8/10 black fountain pen. Three-time AL MVP and two-time World Series champion of Philadelphia Athletics and Boston Red Sox fame, Jimmie Foxx, has signed the sweet spot in bold 8/10 black ink. Two-time World Series champion and Foxx's teammate on Connie Mack's A's squad, Al Simmons, has also signed the ball on the south panel in 6-7/10 black pen. To top it off, Mrs. Babe Ruth, has added her autograph to the north panel. The Official American League baseball (either 1929-31 Barnard or 1932-33 Harridge era based on the barely legible "PAT'D RE. 17200" Reach manufacturer stamp) has a light coat of Shellac and exhibits heavy toning with couple white chip marks. Accompanied by a full LOA from PSA/DNA.
