ADDENDUM: We are unable to confirm with 100% certainty the exact year and league of this ball. We suspect it to be a 1926-33 ONL (Heydler) due to the black & red stitching and the faint remnants of red print on the east panel (where NL President John Heydler's name is stamped in red) in relation to the manufacturer logo stamp (most likely Spalding).

No two names in baseball history evoke more reverence than Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig. Their legends have reached mythical proportions and their faces are woven into the tapestry of American folklore. Their statures in the realm of sports memorabilia are similarly unparalleled. Offered here is a remarkable example of a dual-signed ball featuring the "Murderer's Row" teammates, one of the most coveted collectibles in the hobby.

The red-and-black stitched baseball dates to the 1926-33 manufacturing period when both were in their ball-murdering primes and the Yankees were virtually unbeatable. Ruth’s sweet spot signature and Gehrig's autograph on the adjacent west panel are each done in black fountain ink (7.5/10 in strength & eye appeal) with ideal placement allowing each autograph to be visible from a single vantage point. Gehrig has added the inscription "To My Little Pal Lloyd Rissler Best Wishes" giving it a personal touch to a lucky young fan. The evenly soiled and toned ball shows some white scuffing but still remains in good shape overall for its near-century age. Includes full LOA from Beckett.
