Featured here is an ancient Hillerich & Bradsby Louisville Slugger professional model game used bat wielded by the great Hazen Shirley Cuyler, circa 1921-31. The speedy right-fielder, forever known as Kiki, helped lead the Pittburgh Pirates to a World Series championship in 1925 before joining the Chicago Cubs in 1928. He retired with a .321 career batting average and 2,299 hits, receiving his well-deserved Cooperstown enshrinment in 1968.

Measuring 35 3/4" long and weighing 32.8 ounces, the ash bat has Kiki's trademark player name burned in as "H. S. Cuyler" and remains un-cracked with outstanding evidence of use in the form of grain swelling, ball marks, stitch impressions, and cleat marks. There is some black residue on the handle and four vintage finishing nails in the barrel. Game bats from Hall of Famers of Kiki's caliber are seldom offered, and this examplar is one of the finer specimens in the market. Includes full authentication letter from MEARS with A8 grade.
