Featured here is an original Type I photograph of the great Walter Johnson along with his pitching staff taken in the 1920's. The Big Train played his entire 21-year career in the nation’s capital, retiring in 1927 as the most dominant pitcher in MLB history.
Pictured throwing the ball, Johnson sports a Senators cap and team uniform with his teammates lined up to his right. The back has been stamped INTERNATIONAL NEWSREEL in purple ink. Overall condition is NM or better with some normal wear and edge discoloration that is not uncommon for centuries old photos.
