This particular OAL (Ban Johnson, AL president 1901-1927) baseball holds a total of eight simply iconic autographs, headlined by Babe Ruth's signature above the words "American League Ball" signed in black pen. There are quotations around "Babe" indicating he signed the ball in the prime of his career. To the left of Ruth and above Eddie Collins' signature is Ty Cobb's autograph in equally impressive black pen. To the right of Ruth is Tris Speaker's silky signature in black pen as well. The other highly notable autograph on the ball is Walter Johnson. To round out this legendary group, George Sisler, Bucky Harris, and Harry Heilmann all put their signatures on the ball too. To make this ball even sweeter, it comes directly from Yankees great Earle Combs' family collection. Any baseball historian should get in on a ball of this caliber and history with that kind of provenance. Balls signed by this many inaugural hall of famers in one swoop only come around so often. Full LOA from PSA and a letter of provenance from the Earle Combs Family.
