Sam St. Laurent wore this Maine Mariners jersey as he was working his way up through the Philadelphia Flyers organization. St. Laurent was part of the 1982-83 team that won the Calder Cup, and he finally made the NHL with the New Jersey Devils in 1985. During his time in the NHL, St. Laurent was famous for being the last professional goalie to wear the old-style fiberglass face mask.

This 1979-86 era orange mesh road jersey has the Maine Mariners logo on the chest in black, orange and white tackle twill with white and black striping on the waist and arms/shoulders. An SK label with cleaning instructions are sewn in the collar with “54 Goalie” hand written in pen. “35” is on both shoulders in orange and black tackle twill and the back has “ST. LAURENT” in white on an orange name plate above his number “35” in black and white tackle twill. A partial fight strap is affixed to the interior. The jersey shows good game use with some abrasion scuffs visible and puckering on the tackle twill graphics from repeated laundering.
