Center Brian McDonald wore this Indianapolis Racers jersey, circa 1974-77. During that time McDonald helped Indianapolis win their only World Hockey Association title when they won the East Division in 1975-76. The Racers are best known for being the first major league hockey team to secure the services of Wayne Gretzky and Mark Messier before the two went on to their legendary NHL careers.

The white home jersey has an Indianapolis Racers logo on the front in red, white, blue and navy tackle twill. Red and blue striping is on the waist and arms and a Wilson size “48” label is sewn inside the collar. “11” is on the shoulders and back with “McDONALD” in red and blue tackle twill. A fight strap is sewn inside the jersey. There is heavy wear visible with many abrasion scuffs and several small tears on the body. There is overall toning from age and puckering on the tackle twill graphics from repeated laundering. A rarely encountered WHA jersey with classic 1970's graphics.
