Steve Kuberski was a versatile, 6’ 8” player for the Boston Celtics for eight seasons. He could play center, power forward and small forward, depending on the situation and matchup. This lot features a game-worn Boston Celtics green road jersey that Kuberski donned for the Celts between 1969 and 1971. This particular style is incredibly rare as the 1970-71 campaign was the last season in which the Celtics did not wear player names on the back of their jerseys.

The front left tail is sporting the Sand-Knit manufacturer’s tag (size “42”), complete with washing instructions. Above that is a sewn-on, very seldom seen “MUSINSKY’S” distributor’s tag. Across the front of the jersey is “CELTICS” in arched, semi-circle fashion in white tackle twill lettering sewn directly onto the garment. Below the team name and on the back of the jersey is Kuberski’s uniform number “11” in similar tackle twill fashion. The jersey shows solid wear and understandable aging, with the numbers and letters revealing plenty of fraying.
