This portrait of The Georgia Peach is designated Type 1 by PSA/DNA. The shot was taken at the height of Cobb's powers while he was a player for the Detroit Tigers. He won his first and only AL MVP in 1911 and led the league in stolen bases three straight seasons from 1915-1917. The Baseball Hall of Famer looks absolutely regal in this original image, dressed in his Sunday best. There is just the faintest hint of a smile on his face, maybe as he thinks about stealing his next base.
