Lot includes five gamers from players who were part of the Detroit Tigers 1984 World Championship roster. Includes:
1. Ruppert Jones H&B professional model S216 game used bat. Brown finished bat measures 35 inches with criss-cross handle tape, number “32” on the knob in black marker and excellent use. No handle crack but sliver missing from back barrel.
2. Tom Brookens Louisville Slugger professional model S318 game used bat. Blonde finished bat measures 34 inches with pine tar , number “16” on the knob in black marker and excellent use. Rack marks are present and barrel is pounded with tremendous grain separation from contact. Handle is cracked and Brookens has signed the barrel.
3. Larry Herndon H&B professional model C243L game used bat. Two-tone bat with brown finished barrel measures 34.5 inches with handle tape, number “31” on the knob in green marker and excellent use. Rack marks are present and barrel is pounded with tremendous grain separation from contact. Bat is uncracked and Herndon has signed the barrel.
4. John Grubb Louisville Slugger professional model S2 game used bat. Blonde finished bat measures 34.5 inches with number “30” on the knob in black marker and moderate use. Rack marks are present and barrel shows numerous balls marks and grain separation from contact. Handle is slightly cracked.
5. Lou Whitaker Rawlings professional model 326B game used bat. Black finished bat measures 34.5 inches number “1” on the knob in silver marker along with “326B” and “029 8” stampings. Bat shows excellent use with lot so ball marks and blue transfers. Handle is cracked and Whitaker has signed the barrel, “To Nick, Best Wishes, Lou Whitaker #1 Detroit Tigers.”.
