The University of Southern California (USC) football program has produced hundreds of All-Americans throughout the years. This lot includes 12 National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame certificates recognizing 11 of USC’s most talented players from the modern era as well as longtime Trojans head coach John McKay. As stated on each certificate, each of the players “has been granted the highest honors of the National Football Hall of Fame, in recognition of his outstanding playing ability as demonstrated in intercollegiate competition, his sportsmanship, integrity, character and contribution to the sport of football, this certificate bears witness that his name shall be forever honored in the National Football Hall of Fame.” The 11 former USC players included in this lot are Ron Yary, Charles White, O.J. Simpson, Charles White, Anthony Davis, Marcus Allen, Jon Arnett, Ronnie Lott, Mike Garrett, Brad Budde and Sam Cunningham. Each of the 12 framed certificates, which measure 19” wide by 25” high, has been signed by Archie Manning, the NFF’s Chairman of the Board. Only Cunningham’s certificate includes a second signature, that of Eugene F. Corrigan, the NFF’s Chairman of the Honors Court.
