The Super Bowl is the most widely watched single game sporting event in the world. The day on which the Super Bowl is played, now considered by some as an unofficial American national holiday, is called "Super Bowl Sunday." It is the second-largest day for food consumption in the U.S., after Thanksgiving Day. In addition, the Super Bowl has frequently been the most-watched American television broadcast of the year; the seven most-watched broadcasts in U.S. television history are all Super Bowl battles. This lot features a stunning collection an original patch designs for the first 33 Super Bowl games ever played (SB I, which was held at the L.A. Coliseum through SB XXXIII, which was played at Pro Player Stadium in Miami).

Each patch is beautifully and intricately patterned with up to 38,000 separate stitches. The colorful patches are all aligned chronologically and are positioned perfectly inside an oversized (37.5” wide by 42” tall), framed-and-matted display. Enjoy perusing the various locations – Los Angeles, Miami, New Orleans, Tampa, San Diego, Pasadena, Tempe, Atlanta, Houston, Stanford, Pontiac (MI), Minneapolis and Jacksonville – and color schemes that were part of the first 33 Super Bowl battles!
