This lot represents multiple Summer Olympic Games by way of Team USA warmup jackets and pants. Largely comprised of polyester and cotton, there are five different TEAM USA zip-up polyester jackets, complete with either “USA” tackle twill lettering across the front or a large “TEAM USA” logo/badge sewn onto the left front chest. Two of the jackets are blue, manufactured by Wilson and both are size medium.
A third navy blue jacket (no size indicated), also which zips down the front, is obviously an older variation from the 1950’s that includes a single United States embroidered Olympic patch on the left sleeve. Manufactured by “Sport Chief” out of New York, the jacket boasts a beautiful, navy blue silk lining.
One of the complete suits included is an Adidas version (100% nylon shell) that was designed for the 1988 Olympic Games. A size “Large” windbreaker style, it is lined with polyester and cotton and sports the nation’s trademark red, white and blue design with a “USA 1988 OLYMPIC TEAM” callout embroidered onto the left sleeve. Its matching “Large” pants include “USA” and the five Olympic rings embroidered onto the upper right thigh area. Its original draw string remains intact.
The only other complete warm-up outfit is largely red with white-and-blue accents and appears to be from the 1976 Game in Montreal. A large white patch adorns the left front chest on the warmup jacket that includes “USA” embroidered in blue outlined in red followed by the five Olympic rings underneath. Its matching red pants include the original red drawstring. No sizes are indicated on either garment.
Lastly, a lone pair of light blue elastic style pants are included with an “ELASTISS” manufacturer’s tag on the inside waistband. These appear to be pants most likely designed for a member of the USA Gymnastics Team.
