Circa 1950's - 1960's Boston Celtics travel case. The vintage travel case remains in functioning condition with typical wear and tear from traveling from city to city back in the day.
This interesting travel case would have been used en route to road games and quite possibly during championship years of the era. The case measures 24"x18"x7" in size. "Boston Celtics" can be read along the front side of the case along with a green shamrock.
A green "28" has been painted next to the handle. While the suitcase is not attributed to a particular player, several Celtics wore #28 during the era, Sihugo Green ('65-66), Wayne Embry ('66-68) and Jim Barnes ('68-70).
The clasps to open the travel case are in fully functioning condition. The inside of the case features two divider compartments and one large snappable pocket. The Halliburton brand travel case is a unique part of Celtics history and would display excellently in any serious Celtics collection. Definitely a conversation piece!
