This high quality 7 1/2" by 3 3/8" by 2" sterling silver cigarette case was most likely presented to members of either the 1939 National League or 1940 World Champion Cincinnati Reds. A large 1 3/4" by 1 3/8" Reds logo appears engraved on the lid. The silversmith's stamp on bottom reads "E P C A Poole Silver Co. 2001". Overall condition is fairly clean, though appearance could be easily enhanced with some light polishing. A premium presentation piece from a significant era in Cincinnati baseball history.
