In 1992, the late Chuck Daly took a star-studded group of 12 basketball players and turned them into the United States “Dream Team.” Competing in the Barcelona Summer Olympic Games, the talented roundballers – coached by Daly – annihilated their competition by an average 44-point differential. It was the most dominating basketball team ever to compete in the Olympics. This lot includes several pieces of Olympic-branded apparel that Daly wore during the course of the Games. The first piece of clothing is a red, white and blue U.S.A. Olympic Starter nylon jacket (size XL) that once belonged to Daly. It includes “USA” and the five Olympic rings embroidered on the back, front left chest and left sleeve of the jacket. An "IBM Proud Sponsor" logo can also be found the left sleeve. The second piece of clothing is a USA Basketball white polo shirt (size XL) that Daly wore often during the course of the Games. Demonstrating heavy use, it exhibits serious staining around the collar area. The last two pieces consist of white USA Basketball branded long-sleeve sweaters. The first is a Champion branded V-neck sweater (size L) that includes the USA Basketball embroidered patch on the left front chest. The other sweater (size L) is a pullover manufactured by Nutmeg that also sports the USA Basketball logo on the left front chest. A very cool collection of USA Basketball and USA Olympic apparel worn by one of the NBA’s most beloved coaches.

Includes copy of LOA from Terry Daly, Chuck's widow. Also comes with Letter of Provenance from Rich Behar, owner of SportsCard Central, who acquired many items directly from the Daly estate in 2010.
