In 1979, on the 20th Anniversary of the Kodak All-America Football Team, USC star running back Charles White was an easy selection. As the Heisman Trophy winner that season, White was the most sought-after player on the planet. This lot includes White’s 1979 Kodak All-America Football Team University Division 1A certificate. It reads: “In recognition of his qualities of athletic excellence, self-discipline, team loyalty, and sportsmanship is named a member of the 1979 Kodak All-America Team.” The certificate, which includes White’s signature in black fine-point marker, is also signed by then-American Football Coaches Association President Charles McClendon. The overall dimensions of the framed certificate are 21” wide by 17” high.
