Carl Yastrzemski had one of the longest careers in major league history, appearing in 3308 games over twenty-three seasons, all with the Boston Red Sox. But history will remember his 1967 season above all others. That year, Yaz won the American League Triple Crown; not only that, he was at his best down the stretch, when he carried the Red Sox to a miracle pennant in an epic four-team race that was not decided until the season's last day. He also won the league's MVP Award in 1967. Yastrzemski is the last batter to win a Triple Crown, a feat that has since become much more difficult due to the greater number of regular players in each league as a result of expansion.

This Carl Yastrzemski creamy-white flannel Red Sox home jersey is trimmed with red piping. The garment features manufacturer’s tagging from the Red Sox uniform makers Tim McAuliffe Inc. on the front tail and bears the significant year designation “’67” and size “42” on adjacent tags. Original “Red Sox” lettering appears on front and Yastrzemski’s unmistakable and since retired number “8” appears on the reverse. There are no apparent alterations and light to moderate wear is evident. In terms of its year of issue, originality, condition, and overall aesthetics, this among the most appealing Carl Yastrzemski professional model jerseys we’ve encountered. Includes LOA from MEARS (Grade A8.5).
