Carlton Fisk was a Hall of Fame catcher who played for the Sox: Red Sox from 1971 to 1980 and the White Sox from 1981 to 1993. Packing power with his bat, Fisk launched 376 round-trippers during his 24-year MLB career. This lot includes Fisk’s 13th home run baseball from the 1986 season, which also makes it his 280th overall. It was a two-run shot in the fourth inning of a game the White Sox eventually dropped to the visiting California Angels, 3-2, on Sept. 13, 1986. The official American League (Brown) baseball includes Fisk’s signature in somewhat faded blue ink on the sweet spot along with two indications in black ink as to when the home run took place: “9-13-86 HR #13.”

Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.

Includes Letter of Authenticity from Umpire Durwood Merrill.
