From the culmination of the historic season in which Ruth and Gehrig anchored one of the most powerful offenses in baseball history to a World Series title comes this red and green stitched Spalding "Official League Special" baseball with the rare feature of having each sluggers autograph displayed on the same panel. Each dark brown fountain pen signature merits a 7-8/10 in terms of boldness with some smudging affecting the "L" in "Lou" and a few small abrasions. Incredibly the date "10/12/27" attributed to Ruth's hand pinpoints the signing of this ball to just four days after the Yankees swept the Pirates in the World Series capping what many consider the greatest season by any team is sports history. The condition of the ball itself is excellent with moderate handling wear. A factory stamp on one side panel reads "Made Especially For Nat. C. Strong". LOA from PSA/DNA.
