The pillars of the first Yankees dynasty are represented exclusively on this baseball. The OAL (Barnard) ball and characteristics of each signature suggests that it was signed by Ruth and Gehrig during the late 1920?s the height of their reign together. Ruth as usual has signed the sweet spot Gehrig has inked the west panel. The Ruth signature is a blazer (8/10) while Gehrig rates an admirable 6-7/10. Ideal placement makes the two autographs visible from a single vantage point. The ball itself is toned with a moderate coat of shellac. A few scuffs do not impair the signatures.
