Babe Ruth's popularity even after his retirement from the game never waned. Constantly mobbed by adoring fans Ruth always took time to sign. This terrific 6" by 8" photo and accompanying snapshots demonstrate Ruth's unending love of children and baseball. This lot has been consigned by the lucky young man in the bottom right of the photograph and includes four snapshots of Ruth playing ball in his yard along with a newspaper clipping of the same photo. Technical grade of the photo is GD due to missing bottom right corner and a few wrinkles and tears. Signed in black the "Sincerely Babe Ruth" signature rates 6-7/10. Snapshots measure 5" by 3-1/2" and average EX-MT condition. Newspaper clipping is dated June 12 1940 and is pasted to a scrapbook page. A provenance package of this kind seldom accompanies Ruth signed photos. LOA from PSA/DNA.
