For the ultimate Bret Saberhagen collector comes a fascinating grouping of eight of his major league contracts from the Royals, Red Sox and Mets, totaling approximately 60 pages or more, with many pages of addendums and performance bonus clauses, and including more than a dozen Saberhagen signatures plus many signatures from club GM's, presidents and even league presidents. There are also about a half dozen pages of correspondence from the Royals to Saberhagen, most on Royals letterhead and concerning salary matters. The final element is a massive perhaps 100-page bound volume that was the actual exhibit document used in Saberhagen's 1986 salary arbitration hearing with Raymond Goetz. The arbitration volume is in Ex-Mt condition, as are most of the contracts, though there are a couple of some paper loss and tears. Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from Bret Saberhagen.
the marble base says in all-caps: "Victor Awards XXXIV, Baseball Comeback Player of the Year, Voted by the National Sports Media, City of Hope 2000. On the top of the marble base, Saberhagen signed his name in attractive silver Sharpie. The entire piece appears to be in as-issued and problem-free condition. Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from Bret Saberhagen.
