Here's an integral part of the Kansas City Royals' historical archive, a game-worn jersey from Bret Saberhagen's 1991 no-hitter that he tossed at the Chicago White Sox. It was the only the fourth no-hitter in club history, and there have been none since, adding additional import to the 7-0 whitewash at Royals Stadium that earned the Royals ace yet additional lines in the team record book. The handsome white Royals home jersey is a Rawlings-tagged Size 44, with additional small tagging of Set 1, 1991. The shirt shows good game use but still largely appears in as-issued and problem-free condition, save only for the lightest hint of fraying around the stitching of his name and No. 18 on the back and to a lesser degree to the "Royals" on the front, and virtually none around the embroidered Royals logo on the left sleeve or with any of the piping on the collar or sleeves. There is some pilling visible on the front of the shirt directly underneath the "o" in Royals, quite possiblly from where Saberhagen's glove would have come to rest in the set position. Saberhagen has supplied an imposing black Sharpie autograph on the back of the jersey below his number, adding an inscription of "No-hitter 8-26-91." Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from Bret Saberhagen.

Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
