From Bret Saberhagen's personal collection comes this nifty pair of autographs from one of his notable contemporaries: Hideo Nomo. A game-used Official NL Coleman baseball includes a Nomo signature on the sweet spot and printed notations of "No Hitter, 9-17-96" above it and "Dodgers 9, Rockies 0" below. The ball itself is excellent condition, showing good game use and revealing only some scuffing on the Official National League and Cushioned Cork imprints. The second piece is a nicely matted and framed full ticket from Nomo's second gem, a 3-0 whitewash of the Orioles at Camden Yards that was simply laden with historic overtones. Coming on April 4 it was the earliest in baseball history, plus it was the first no-hitter ever at Camden Yards, and this in Nomo's first start as a member of the Boston Red Sox. The hurler signed the Nr-Mt bleacher ticket in bold black Sharpie near the center. With attractive orange-and-black matting and framing, the overall dimensions expand to 6 1/2-by-10 inches. All elements seem to be in virtually as-issued and problem-free condition. Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from Bret Saberhagen.
