From one Kansas City ace to another comes this snowy white Kansas City Royals game-worn home jersey from David Cone and in turn given to the man who essentially passed the torch to him, Bret Saberhagen. Cone had signed originally with the Royals and pitched ever so briefly for the club in 1986 (23 innings) before heading to the Big Apple (Queens, really) and establishing himself as one of the top pitchers in the National League from 1987-92. The Size 46 Russell Athletic-tagged jersey has shows good game use but still largely appears in as-issued and problem-free condition, with hardly a whisper of fraying around the stitching of his name, "Royals" on the front or around the embroidered Royals logo on the left sleeve. A David Cone black Sharpie autograph appears on the upper left breast above the team lettering, along with an inscription of his No. 17. Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from Bret Saberhagen.
