This eye-popping powder-blue 1990 Royals All-Star jersey was worn by Bret Saberhagen as he disappointed the Chicago Cubs faithful by tossing two scoreless innings in the game to earn the victory as the American League dumped the homestanding Nationals, 2-0. Saberhagen would aggravate the Windy City denizens even more profounding a couple of years later by joining the New York Mets, but for the moment the indigestion stemmed from silencing the NL bats. The Size 42 Rawlings-tagged jersey has an additional "Set 1, 1990" tag to the front; the shirt shows good game use but still largely appears in as-issued and problem-free condition, save only for the minimal fraying around the embroidered stitching of the team name, Saberhagen's name on the back or the numbers front and back and a similar level to the intricate Chicago 1990 All-Star Game patch on the right shoulder. There is virtually no fraying around the embroidered Royals logo on the left sleeve. There is some pilling visible on the front of the shirt directly underneath the "o" in Royals, quite possiblly from where Saberhagen's glove would have come to rest in the set position. Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from Bret Saberhagen.

Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
