This intriguing 4 1/2-inch in diameter oval clear acrylic piece is 1 1/2 inchs at the bottom and tapers to about 1/2 inch at the top, with a small section created to allow it to stand on its side. Etched in the acrylic is "1990 American League All-Star Team, Wrigley Field, Chicago," and near the base is the Offical Sponsor USA Today and Major League Baseball logo and the words "Major League Baseball All-Star Balloting." This was Bret Saberhagen's second of three All-Star appearances; his two scoreless innings earned him the victory as the AL squeaked past its rival NL squad, 2-0. Saberhagen has signed in blue Sharpie on back of the acrylic, adding the inscription "Winning Pitcher." The piece appears to be in essentially as-issued and problem-free condition. Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from Bret Saberhagen.
