This unique 4-by-13-inch black acrylic piece is 2 1/2 inchs deep and showcases an artist's rendering in black in the center of a 3-inch in diameter circle toward the top of the acrylic. a 3 1/4-by-5-inch nameplate notes "The 1989 Consort Control Pitcher Award, Bret Saberhagen, Kansas City Royals, Alberto Culver, with The Sporting News." Saberhagen earned the award by virtue of his finest statistic season when he finished 23-6 with a 2.16 ERA and earned his second Cy Young Award. Saberhagen has signed in bold,silver Sharpie on the top portion of the acrylic section above the clear opening for the artwork. The piece appears to be in essentially as-issued and problem-free condition. Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from Bret Saberhagen.
