Worn the season of his second Cy Young Award when he set the club record for wins with 23 and was virtually unhittable for the second half of the season, this snow-white Royals home jersey is an absolute stunner from perhaps the finest individual season in Bret Saberhagen's sterling career. The Size 42 Rawlings-tagged jersey has additional "T" and "Set 1, 1989" tags on the front; the shirt shows good game use but still largely appears in as-issued and problem-free condition, save only for the light fraying around the stitching of his name and No. 18 on the back and front and the Royals script and No. 18 on the front. There is virtually no fraying around the embroidered Royals logo on the left sleeve of with any of the piping on the collar or sleeves. Saberhagen has supplied an imposing black Sharpie autograph on the lower right half of the jersey, adding the inscription "Cy Young 1989." Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from Bret Saberhagen.
