This is a stunning artifact from arguably Bret Saberhagen's finest season, the Cy Young Award No. 2 monster in 1989 when he set the record for wins with a sterling 23-6 mark and 2.16 ERA, much of that mojo coming in the second half of the campaign when he enjoyed a 14-1 streak from mid-July to the end. This black Franklin Ultra Pro model glove shows excellent game use but is otherwise problem-free, with no issues involving the laces and virtually no fraying of the stitching surrounding the Franklin tag or the interior. Saberhagen's No. 18 has been hand printed on the outside of the thumb; Saberhagen has signed in black Sharpie on the Franklin tag and an inscription has been added in bold, block letters, silver Sharpie on three of the fingers: "23-6, Royals Record for Wins, 1989. Comes with an LOA from Bret Saberhagen.
