The Boston Red Sox organization has produced eight World Series titles, 12 American League pennants and countless on-the-field heroes throughout their 114-year existence. During just the past decade, the Red Sox have won the Fall Classic three different times: 2004, ’07 and ’13. Prior to the team’s postseason resurgence in the new millennium the Red Sox boasted dozens of Hall of Famers and memorable players through the years including nine-time All-Star second baseman Bobby Doerr, 1967 Triple Crown winner Carl “Yaz” Yastrzemski, five-time A.L. batting champ Wade Boggs and 20-game winner Dennis Eckersley. This lot includes an illustrated print by renowned sports artist Paul Madden entitled “RED SOX HEROES” that shows eight memorable players in Red Sox history including the aforementioned foursome along with former team broadcaster Curt Gowdy. The other standouts in Boston Red Sox folklore include: shortstop Pumpsie Green, the team’s very first black player in (1959); 1940s and ‘50s pitcher Mel Parnell, who collected 123 wins for the Sox; 1960s pitcher Earl Wilson, who notched 56 victories for Boston; and two-time 20-game winner Dave “Boo” Ferris, a powerful right-hander. Each of the nine featured personalities has signed the print in varying degrees of blue marker and all the signatures rate 9/10. A terrific keepsake for any Red Sox baseball historian and fan!

Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
