1962 New York Yankees home pin stripe flannel full uniform (jersey, pants, hat, stirrups) game worn by former pitcher Bob Turley, winner of the 1958 American League Cy Young Award. In 1962, Turley's last season in New York, he posted a 3-3 record with 4.57 ERA in 24 games for the Yankees. Turley had a masterful 21-7 record with a 2.97 ERA in leading the Yankees to the American League pennant in 1958. In the World Series, after a rough Game 2 start that ended in a loss, he rebounded to win Game 5 by shutting out the Braves on 5 hits and pitched 6 2/3 innings of relief to win Game 7 and bring New York the World Championship. Large felt "NY" sewn on chest with large "19" sewn on back, both in the same dark blue felt. "Turley" in script sewn on name plate in back of collar. Spalding size 48 tag sewn in front tail. Washing instructions sewn inside front tail. An unknown hand has written "63" in black marker below the Spalding tag on front. Jersey appears totally original and displays moderate game use. Matching pants have "Turley 19 38 62 2" sewn in dark blue on plate sewn in back of waistband. "63'19" in black marker in front of waist band along with Spalding and washing instruction tags. "63" in black marker on top of washing instructions. Pants look totally original and display moderate game use. Tim McAuliffe size 7 1/4 cap appears to be totally original and displays light/moderate game use. Stirrups totally original with one having large team repair.
