Great San Diego memories, as this was the Padres first World Series appearance, led by Manager ~ Dick Williams, Steve Garvey, and Tony Gwynn, who won his first-of-eight Batting Titles in ‘84, hitting .351! The Padres defeated the Chicago Cubs in the National League Championship Series, 3-games-to-2, becoming the first National League team to win the pennant after being down 2–0, and Steve Garvey was named the NLCS Most Valuable Player! Bobby Tolan played for many teams in his 14-year career, and was best known for his years with the Cincinnati Reds in the early 70’s, after becoming a full time player. Bobby played for the Padres in 1974-75 & ‘79, and later was named a coach with the Padres after his playing days, becoming Tony Gwynn’s first batting instructor.   All original, in excellent shape for being 36-years-old, and comes with the vintage Balfour brown box. Stamped BALFOUR [10K], and approximately a Size-10.5 weighing 30.6-Grams.
