The legendary defensive standout Bobby Jones wore these shoes during a 12-year pro career that featured eight selections to the NBA All-Defensive First Team, the first-ever NBA Sixth Man Award, and membership on the ABA All-Rookie Team. He made four appearances in the NBA All-Star Game and one in the ABA All-Star Game; perhaps most prized, he won an NBA Championship with the Philadelphia 76ers in 1983. Above all, Jones’s value as a player was evidenced by the fact that his teams never missed the playoffs.
The Size 14 Nike Air "Force" shoes are in superb condition, showing excellent game use but otherwise are problem-free and seemingly as-issued. The red Nike Swoosh logo on the sides is in similarly unmolested show little if any fraying of the delicate red stitching; the interior gray knit cushioned section is just as pristine. Jones has signed in black marker on the outside of each heel, adding the personalization "To Bill" and his uniform No. 24; on the right shoe he adds "Best Wishes" and on the left shoe "My Friend."
