Former major league first baseman Moose Skowron played nine seasons for the New York Yankees. He played alongside some of the greatest pin-stripers in history, guys like Mickey Mantle, Roger Maris and Yogi Berra to name a few. This is the full Yankees uniform that Skowron wore when he took part in the 1996 rendition of the Yankees Old-Timers’ Game. It was the year after the passing of Yankee legend Mickey Mantle and each of the uniforms included a No. 7 memorial black armband in tribute to Mantle. The 100% polyester Wilson XL uniform has been signed by Skowron just below the Yankee logo on the left front portion of the chest in blue fine-point marker: “Bill ‘Moose’ Skowron #14.” The jersey includes a sewn-on “Skowron” patch on the bottom right front of the jersey and the size 40 pants include “14 M.A.” in black marker on the inside of the waistband.
