In the 1965 MLB All-Star Game, the National League All-Stars bested their A.L. counterparts, 6-5. The game was played at Metropolitan Stadium in Minnesota. One American League reserve All-Star who did not make it into the actual game was Yankees’ first baseman Bill “Moose” Skowron. This lot includes Skowron’s bat from that particular outing. The Hillerich & Bradsby model R43 Bill “Moose” Skowron professional model bat is uncracked and shows no evidence of game use. The model number (R43) is stamped into the knob of the bat. The bat barrel has “1965 ALL-STAR GAME” and “MINNESOTA” engraved into it. The ash bat measures 36” long and weighs 31.6 ounces. It originates from the collection of Ray Crump, former Washington Senators batboy, visiting clubhouse manager, and home equipment manager when the Senators moved to Minnesota in 1961. The bat was obtained directly from Bill "Moose" Skowron by Ray Crump.

Includes a LOA from John Taube of PSA/DNA.
