Lord Elgin men's wristwatch was presented to Hall of Famer Billy Southworth for managerialship of the 1949 N.L. All-Star team, a role he earned after guiding the Boston Braves to the N.L. Pennant in 1948. Inscription on the back reads, "N.L. All-Stars 1949 Billy Southworth Manager". Watch remains in fine working condition with a replaced leather band. Original Elgin presentation box is included. Includes a letter of provenance from the Southworth family. EX-MT condition.
