The plaque at the center of this display simply reads, "On September 30, 1927, Babe Ruth Hit His 60th Home Run of The Season Setting a Record That Would Stand For 34 Years. On September 26, 1961, Roger Maris Hit His 60th Home Run of The Season Tying Ruth's Record. On October 1, 1961, In The Last Game of The Season, Maris Hit Home Run #61 And Baseball Changed Forever." Surrounding this plaque in the framed montage are original ticket stubs from each historic game referenced above, cut signatures of both Ruth (9/10, pencil) and Maris (10/10), as well as three relevant and poignant images. The Ruth ticket, while not dated, bears a period ink notation on the reverse by its original bearer noting the historic Ruth homer. The framed piece measures 21" by 38" overall. LOA from PSA/DNA.
