This one page agreement was executed by the Amarican Broadcasting Company pursuant to Arnold Palmer's appearance on one of that network's programs in the 1960’s. The program, the title of which is obscurred in the agreement, was some type of contest or game. By signing the agreement on the bottom right in blue ballpoint (9/10) Palmer has consented that the game or contest was conducted fairly without his prior knowledge of the proceedings or the outcome. The document is also signed by a witness for the network. Arnold Palmer was one of the most charismatic and popular golfers to grace the game in the 1950’s and ‘60’s. His impact in the early days of golf on television dramatically raised the profile of the sport, and with it, the money and opportunities available to pro golfers. Off the course, Palmer built a business empire that included golf academies, tournament and course management companies, equipment companies, clothing lines and more. He co-founded The Golf Channel. Palmer's endorsement deals alone kept him one of sport's annual richest athletes into his 70s. This agreement has been matted and framed along with an 8” by 10” photo of Palmer and a descriptive plaque. Framed to overall size of 19” by 23”. COA from PSA/DNA.
