Panoramic Print of a pre-season game between the 1918 National League Champion Chicago Cubs and a town team from Taft California. Among the Cub players is Hall of Fame pitcher Grover Cleveland Alexander, who would only play in 3 games in 1918 before being drafted into the army. Players shown for the Cubs are Mitchell(Mgr), Mann, Deal, Flack, Killefer, Elliott, Kilduff, Walker, Tyler, Alexander, Hendricks, Merkle, Paskert, and Vaughan. At bottom is printed on image "Chicago Cubs vs Santa ??? April 5th 1918". The score below is too light to see(The Cubs won the game 9-0). The Cub Battery is Alexander - Hendricks with Killefer as the catcher. Long framed piece measures about 10" by 51 1/2". Image overall is light, but the lightest is at the edges with the strongest being where the players are standing. Not sure if this was done deliberately by the maker of the print or not. Some light stains, mainly to the right side devoid of players. One tear at same area at bottom and upper left corner missing.
