One year removed from their last NBA title, the 2010-11 Los Angeles Lakers came back for more. Led by the incomparable Kobe Bryant, the Lakers produced a 57-25 regular season record to finish first in the Western Conference’s Pacific Division standings. The 32-year-old Bryant, playing in all 82 games, led the Lakers in scoring by averaging 25.3 points per game as well as 5.1 boards and 4.7 assists per outing. Though the team was poised to make another title run, their hopes were dashed after running into the Dallas Mavericks in the Western Conference semi-finals, where they dropped four straight games.

From that season comes this special game worn road jersey, photo-matched by the experts at MeiGray Group to one of two superb individual performances in which Bryant scored a combined 49 points! First, on April 6th, 2011 at Golden State, Kobe had a team-high 25 points in the Lakers’ 95-87 loss to the Warriors (plenty of matches on Getty, i.e. 112782366). Two days later, on April 8th at Portland, Kobe added 24 points in a 93-86 loss to the Trail Blazers. The latter game has been photo-matched definitively and is registered in the official NBA Authentication database as number LLA00221. Based on the previous auction listing of this same jersey, however, it is also photo-matched to the Lakers’ April 6 contest against Golden State.

The purple mesh jersey has “LAKERS” across the chest in gold tackle twill with a white-stitched border. Kobe’s iconic number “24” appears front and back in white mesh with a gold-stitched border on purple tackle twill. An arched “BRYANT” is sewn directly on the back in gold-on-white tackle twill. The NBA logo is embroidered on the left chest. The front left tail has Adidas manufacturer’s tagging with size 6XL and a LENGTH +4” flag tag. Adjacent to that is its official NBA jersey identification code reading “LLA00221.” Inside the left inseam is the washing instructions and a smaller tag with the “01/11” manufacturing date and “P55189 AZB001” code. Inside the rear collar is a “6XL4” size tag. The jersey has been laundered and shows solid wear, with evident puckering of the numbers and slight fraying showing on the letters.

Includes LOA from NBA/MeiGray with an official photo-match from the 4/8 game. Auction house where jersey was previously listed matched it to 4/6 game as well.
