On April 1, 1972, in his quest to land a rematch with then-heavyweight boxing champion Joe Frazier, former heavyweight champ Muhammad Ali (34-1) squared off against challenger MacArthur “Mac” Foster (29-1) in a scheduled 15-round bout held in Tokyo, Japan. This was the first fight ever held in Asia between two Top 10 ranked heavyweights and Ali won the bout by unanimous decision. This lot includes one of the original on-site posters that was used to promote the fight. It measures 29” wide by 40” high.
