Offered is a super historic Boston Red Sox Season Pass that admitted the bearer to any game at Fenway Park during the season. The Red Sox would finish 1st in the American League with a 75-51 record; in a season cut short due to World War I. The Sox would take the Chicago Cubs in 6 games in the 1918 World Series. This would be their last until 2004. World War I caused major league baseball to lose many of their star players to our country’s cause. Babe Ruth (who won 13 games in 1918) was a little-used hitter, but due to holes in the Red Sox lineup became the Red Sox new slugger. Ruth would hit .300 with 11 home runs, enough to secure him a share of the Major League Home Run title with Tilly Walker of the Philadelphia Athletics. Due to his emergence as a break out star, the Yankees aggressively pursued Ruth and owner, Harry Frazee was made an offer by the Yankees, he couldn’t refuse. By trading/selling Ruth; this forever became known as the Curse of the Bambino. This gorgeous 1918 Fenway Park Grand Stand pass entitled the owner to attend Red Sox home games. It is essentially in unused condition and has been encapsulated PSA EX-MT 6. To say that this historic Babe Ruth related memorabilia piece is rare would be an understatement.
